Their vehicle car parts and accessories offering is one of the biggest in the world and it supports millions of car owners who buy and fit car parts at home.
The key communication challenges were to raise awareness of the existence of the Hub through targeted above-the-line activity and driving traffic from eBay.co.uk as well as to demonstrate eBay’s credibility and commitment to car maintenance.
Using research and insight gathered on customers during the discovery phase, I created the full user experience of the hubs, MegaHubs and article directories optimised for mobile and desktop.
Kiosk (eBay’s new content platform) had been recently launched so doing some prior technical research was key to maximise the potential of the experience. Once the UX phase was approved, I applied their new brand guidelines to create the UI.
RESULTS: Bounce-rates down from 89% to 70%
